The beloved bouncing ball. I can watch this for hours, I should just probably set it up as my screensaver.
The task for this animation was to turn a ball into a cube.
This animation exercise revolved around making a piece of crumpled paper hop like a frog or a rabbit. Guess which one this was. This simple exercise made me realize you can give character to an inanimate object just by making it move in a specific way.
More character work. The goal was for the little character to get the larger one over the line.
This simple animation was for practicing arcs and easing in/out movements. It's oddly satisfying. Also makes me miss using cash.
You've now entered the deepest depths of my portfolio. These random animations span from the bouncing ball (a classic exercise in animation) to videos with a green screen for no apparent reason, that would later be removed, but never has.
These are animations that I never intended to share, because they're not really extremely ambitious nor that advanced.
So why are the animations here you might ask? Because looking at them makes me happy - they remind me of the importance of play, of a childlike state where anything is possible and nothing should be taken too seriously. And the end result is not the point, the process of exploration and creation is. I hope some of it rubs off on you too while watching these.
